Well, I just picked up Rob Dickinson's new solo album yesterday. It's been five years since I've heard his voice on a new track, including the stuff he recorded with Jimmy Chamberlain because I never got around to downloading it. Rob Dickinson is one of my favorite songwriters of all time. It's like being a hardcore Smiths fan and finally being able to listen to You Are the Quarry, aside from the fact that Catherine Wheel were infinitely better than The Smiths. Though Morrissey is a tad sexier than Dickinson.

Last night I went to see The Exorcism of Emily Rose, which was kind of like having someone punch you in the face a bunch of times only to try and calm you down for a half hour afterwards with gentle caressing. Afterward Esther and I went to the Avant Garde Bar and drank beer and talked about art.

School is progressing. I'm re-reading Wacousta and I've started a thesis journal in which I write notes while I read.

A couple of people have abandoned the In/Words pursuit, which leaves a bit more work for everyone else to do. We've been getting in submissions for the magazine and it's been fun going through them, even though they can be kind of awful sometimes. I've been exchanging emails with Amanda at Bywords due to the whole event planning and link sharing and poem submitting. The Synaesthesia website has been launched at http://www.capitalsyn.com, though it's a few bios short of being completed for now. Still, at least it's something.

Willowz and Mod Club on Sunday. Work now.

And then the girl who never says goodbye.

any chance that In/Words would want to fill those abandoned positions?

Good question. We'll be discussing it at the next meeting, I assume. We do get a fair amount of volunteers, but it can be more time-consuming than people realize. I'll let you know if we make the decision to go after more people.
